Zoë is a Greek word that means Life. But it doesn’t just mean life as in merely a living, breathing, being. It also means abundant life: “the absolute fullness of life” According to Thayer and Smith’s Bible dictionary and lexicon, Zoë means the following:
“life real and genuine, a life active and vigorous, devoted to God, blessed, in the portion even in this world of those who put their trust in Christ, but after the resurrection to be consummated by new accessions (among them a more perfect body), and to last for ever.”
That is the kind of life I want to live. I want to be fully alive in Christ, devoted to God, and living for an eternity with Him.
